Day
01: Tripoli
We are warmly welcomed and transferred
to our hotel .Dinner and overnight at hotel

02: Tripoli / Benghazi (flight)
Morning is free to enjoy the city
before we are transferred to the airport for our short flight to
Benghazi .Upon arrival in Benghazi we are met and transferred to our
hotel. Benghazi is a popular holiday resort and is an exceptionally
beautiful and artistically laid out city on the banks of the
Mediterranean sea. The remainder of the day is free to discover the
narrow lanes of the souq .Dinner and overnight at hotel.

03: Benghazi / El Bayda
An interesting drive along the eastern
coast conveys to the small town of El Bayda .El Beyda it's the best
base of those wishing to explore the great ruins of Cyrene,
Apollonia, and Slonta. It also has a number of colonial –style
buildings, as well as an Islamic university .Dinner and overnight at
El Bayda hotel.

04: Cyrene /Apollonia
Today we have an in depth visit to the
world heritage of Cyrene. The city was part of the 1st
century pentapolis, a –five-city state- that was second in size only
to Athens .It was founded by the Greeks in 631 B.C and later
occupied by the Romans followed by the Arabs .Here we also visit the
famous temples of Zeus and Apollo. After lunch we visit Apollonia
which was the port of Cyrene and is located 20Km/12miles to the
north .Our detailed visit includes the majestic theatre, the Roman
baths and a Byzantine palace
Day5; El Beyda / Qasr Libya / Benghazi
Our morning drive through Jabel Akhdar
gets us to Qasr Libya, Where we visit interesting museum housing
more than 50pieces of mosaic artifact fragments dating back to the 6th
century A.D Next stop is Ptolemaist ,the former capital of
Pentapolis ,with its remains of palace .We proceed to Benghazi ,
Unarguably the most beautiful city in Libya ,where we take a tour
and visit the spectacularly maintained world war 2 cemetery .A
picturesque drive along the coastline and old town rounds off a
great day.
Day6: Benghazi / Tripoli / Zliten
Morning transfer to the airport for a
flight back to Tripoli .Then meet and transfer to Zliten with stop
at the sidi Abdusalam mosque .Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day7: Zliten / Leptis Magna / Tripoli
The highlight of any visit to Libya is
the world heritage site of Leptis Magna .It became important when it
was established as a city by the Canaanites and reached its climax
under the rule of Roman Empror Septimus Severus .We will explore the
vast site including the triumphal Arch, huge Basilica, Forum, public
baths, Hipoodrome , Amphitheater etc. At the end of the day we drive
to Libya's capital Tripoli.
Day
8: Tripoli / Nalut / Ghadames
Today we head south to the Saharan
oasis of Ghadames .En route we stop at the- ghost town- of Nalut
,located high in the Nafusa Mountains .Nalut offers insights into
the traditional life styles of the locals used .After a tour of
Nalut, we head further south towards the immense Sahara desert
.Dinner and overnight at Ghadames hotel .

9: Ghadames:
This oasis was settled from prehistoric
times and was a major port of call for the traders and pilgrims en
route to Mecca .Ghadames is a beautiful desert town that has
retained its original culture, visible in the narrow lane streets
lined with mud bricked architecture .Our tour will Cover both the
old ghost town and the desert sand dunes .In the evening we witness
the desert sunset ,depending on the weather.
Day10: Ghadames / Tripoli
After the interesting Saharan
experience ,we proceed to Kabaw a village with all houses .We also
visit the Ghurfas ,grain store built by the local Berbers, located
at the very top of the village ,followed by the visit to Tormisa to
see incredibly cave structures finally we visit the pottery market
at Gharian before our return to Tripoli .
Day11: Tripoli
Tripoli Oea the bride of the
Mediterranean is the capital of Libya .Founded by the Phoenicians in
1000B.C Tripoli was later conquered by the Romans .Our tour of this
beautiful metropolis covers the huge fortress, the National museum,
the old souk and the Islamic quarters .Our afternoon is free to seek
bargains at the local souqs.
Day12: Sabratha
Amongst all of Libya's many
archaeological sites, Sabratha stands out as the most
majestic.Aworld heritage site,Sabratha was founded by the Canaanites
(6th Century B.c) ruled by Carthage,Phoenicia,Numedia and
then Rome in 46 B.C the site offers a majestic collection of
buildings ,arenas , the temples of Liber Peter ,Srapis ,Isis and
Hercules .This site is grand and ancient ,the perfect conclusion to
Libya .
Day13: Tripoli / Airport
Return flight.
